Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth

Each piece is ethically made in the USA, sewn in small batches by skilled workers earning fair wages. We prioritize safe, respectful working conditions and local production to ensure every garment reflects the values we stand for- quality, integrity, and care.

Our clothing is free from polyester and traditional petroleum-based synthetics. We use plant-based TENCEL™ and a small amount of Creora® bio-based spandex for stretch- derived in part from renewable resources, but not yet fully plastic free and biodegradable. It's a step toward cleaner, safer clothing for your skin and the planet.

We use plant-based fabrics like TENCEL™ lyocell, ECOVERO™ viscose, and organic cotton, blended with Creora® bio-based spandex for gentle stretch. While the spandex still contains some petroleum, it’s partially derived from renewable sources—making it a better option than traditional synthetics. The result: soft, breathable, lower-impact clothing that feels as good as it is.

Making our clothing in the USA—especially in California—means higher standards across the board. Strict environmental regulations, fair labor laws, and safe working conditions ensure that every piece is made responsibly. It also reduces the carbon footprint of overseas shipping and supports local communities. When you choose USA-made, you’re choosing quality, ethics, and a cleaner planet.

- Katherine J.Verified BuyerReviewingThe Foundation Boyshorts - BlackI do not recommend this productRated 1 out of 5 starsAug 15, 2025The only purchase I regret
I bought three of these cotton boyshorts and wish I would've spent my money on something else. Not only do they fit weird (thighs are really tight) but 2 of them started unravelling after the first wash. I followed the same instructions I do for all of my purusha people clothing items. I sent an email explaining the situation, and they offered to reimburse me the money if I were to take them to a seamstress. I don't have a car, so that would be really difficult and I also don't want to go out of my way for items that truly don't feel that comfy. I've been extremely impressed with every other item that I've bought from purusha people, but these ones did not meet my expectation. These are probably good if you don't have big thighs, and are willing to get them fixed professionally when they start to unravel.
